Question by Lynn L: Is sex truly important in a relationship between a man and a woman if there is great companionship?

If you're older- (50) -and just have no interest in sex--and haven't in a long time, but enjoy the companionship and sense of family in your relationship-is that unusual? We haven't had sex in 5 years because neither of us is really interested. There are no affairs going on - we're both overweight and just seem removed from the physical side of love.How many of you are in a relationship where there is little to no sex, but the friendship, family and companionship is strong?
